Harbour & Host

Your Cape Town rental, run while you're away.

We look after guests, bookings, pricing and cleaners for owners who live overseas or upcountry. You get the income and a clear report every month.

We handle the daily running. You keep the decisions.

What we look after

  • Guest messages from 07:00 to 22:00, every day
  • Booking requests, check-in instructions and house rules
  • Nightly prices and minimum stays, adjusted for season and events
  • Scheduling vetted local cleaners and handymen
  • Replying to reviews and asking happy guests for one
  • A monthly report: bookings, income, occupancy, costs

What stays with you

  • Your listing stays on your own Airbnb account
  • Payouts go straight to your bank account
  • You approve repairs above an amount you set
  • You can see every message and booking at any time
  • One month's notice to end, no long contract

Simple pricing that follows your bookings.

Our fee is a share of what your property earns, so we only do well when you do. Cleaning is covered by the guest cleaning fee.

Questions owners ask us

How do you manage a property without being there?

Almost everything a host does happens on a phone. For the physical side we work with vetted local cleaners and handymen in your area, and every property has a key safe or smart lock, so guests check themselves in.

How do you get paid?

Airbnb lets owners share a percentage of each booking with a co-host, so our fee is paid automatically. You never have to send us money separately for bookings made on Airbnb.

What happens if something breaks or a guest causes damage?

We arrange the repair with our local handyman and send you photos and the quote. Anything above the limit you set needs your approval first. For guest damage we handle the claim through Airbnb.

What about the City's new short-term letting rules?

The City of Cape Town has proposed a by-law that would require short-term rentals to register and report availability. It is still a draft. Co-Host Plus includes handling the registration and tracking for you once the rules are final.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Our agreement runs month to month with one month's notice on either side.
